Lois Lane to get her own movie?

According to this site, it's true.

I have many problems with this. 1) Kate Bosworth is not a believable brunette. 2) She's not a believable Lois Lane. She showed no spark, no energy, no aggression. And no, looking emaciated does not count.

My beef? I know a lot of reporters, and she does not look like a reporter. She doesn't seem credible to me. Also, there's no way a girl who looks like she's 19 won the Pulitzer Prize. Art thou kidding? I can certainly see the appeal of a Lois movie. It'll draw a nice female audience plus all the fanboys who'd see it because it's Lois. I'd be even more for it if there was a different Lois, though.

WTF? She doesn't look like a reporter?

Critique her on everything else fine - but the idea that anyone or any profession is meant to look a particular way is pretty lame.

Okay, except maybe basketball players - they're usually tall...

From the linked article:

She said: "Lois will be back bigger and better in the next movie, and with more of her own storyline."

Let's deconstruct this statement, shall we?

First: I didn't get the impression the Lois Lane character was pushed to the background in Superman Returns. Did you? The woman was in three-quarters of the movie's scenes, for God's sake!

Second: "Bigger" as in "bigger forehead" or "Better" as in "better acting"?

Third: Listen, girly....if anything, I want to see tons more cool SUPERMAN scenes, and not you cooking dinner with Richard or picking your brat up from daycare!

Please. Get over yourself, Kate.

A sh#t spin-off to the probably sh#t sequel to a sh#t movie? It'll never happen.

Plus, someone see sense and take Singer off the franchise, or see it die on the vine.

just kidding. i agree with tim, and mark. the only good thing about the new superman movie was that the old score gave me thrills again. and the fx were neato.
